Premium, high image quality cards are frequently pre-printed...much like offset printing. Why have your cards printed at a press instead of on a card printer? When you have a full edge to edge color card, perfect color matching requirements, or consistent superb quality is important, many organizations find it more beneficial to have their cards printed by a card plant. In high volume applications with monochrome personalization, pre-printed cards are less expensive than four-color printing. The background of the card is pre-printed and the cards are quickly personalized in-house. Ask an IdentiSys consultant whether pre-printing would be the best approach for your card requirements.
Pre-printed cards are made from the best plastic, on state-of-the-art equipment, and manufactured under strict process and quality controls. All cards are tested for card size and thickness, ink colors, magnetic striping and lamination. Cards are also inspected either by hand or by a fully-automatic color inspection computer system to ensure the best possible quality. Printing specifications A. Artwork/Graphics -Submitted artwork for logos and graphics must be camera-ready or black & white photo-quality artwork with fine edges. Modifications to your artwork, should they be required, will be quoted on a per order basis. A minimum charge applies. The following computer files are also acceptable: Adobe Illustrator 8 – all fonts converted to outlines and saved as an .ai or .eps file Adobe Photoshop 5 – files saved as .tif, .bmp, .jpg, .psd, or. gif Pagemaker 6.5 Quark XPress 4.0
Please submit these files by email, floppy disk or CD file.
B. Set-up charges – a one-time set-up charge will apply to all orders. Call for details.
C. Proof Approval – Once the card has been designed, a proof will be sent to you for approval. When the card has been approved, the printing production will begin.
D. Lead Time – Lead times will vary depending upon design, proof approval and quantity desired. 6-8 weeks is common.
