Tamper Resistant Intelligent Security Module (TRISM) personalization system is the cost-effective solution for instant issuance. Solution components include:
Security Module: a sealed metal box containing a DES processor encapsulated in epoxy. This intelligent device is where all secret information is stored, including the DES keys and standard DES parameters. Encrypted messages are used to communicate with the TRISM software.
Self-contained card production unit: choose the printer/encoder or embosser that meets your unique requirements.
- Emboss(standard and special characters, including the VISA flying V and the MasterCard flying M) and encode (high or low coercivity) cards. Rear indent characters include Card Verification Value II fraud control. Emboss topping in your choice of color.
- Produce the new generation of financial cards with retransfer color printing, no embossed text and, increasingly, a contact or contactless smart chip inside.
TRISM software: TRISM I functions as a one-to-one software/hardware relationship, designed to serve one user at a time. However, the actual quantity of users is unlimited. TRISM II is designed to handle multiple users at one time from several terminals, with batch processing functionality.
The system will generate the reports and audit trails required by VISA and MasterCard in their instant card issuance guidelines. TRISM card functions include:
1. Emboss and encode
2. Select-A-Pin
3. Pin without a card
4. Read a card
5. Encode magnetic data
The above functions can be performed on an unlimited quantity of card types (ATM, debit or VISA credit). Each card must have its own unique first six digits. The rules for each branded card must be followed.
